Lactation Support

Planning to breastfeed, chestfeed, or feed human milk by expressing and bottle feeding, and you need to learn how? Have you been trying but it just isn't working? Lactation is natural, but often it doesn't come naturally! Most people need a helping hand. 

 

Our Registered Nurse (RN) completed the Douglas College Breast/Chestfeeding Course for Healthcare Professionals in 2008, where she was taught by Pam Straker, Terrace’s longtime lactation consultant. She has also attended La Leche League conferences and continues to pursue ongoing education to ensure her knowledge and guidance reflect current best practices. Providing lactation support is one of her favourite things to do.
